祢的愛 (Jesus's Love)

Found another great Chinese song that reveals the magnitude of God's love for us.

The Chinese lyrics stirs my heart.. it talks about how our Almighty and Poweful God who reigns over everything yet willingly go through the pain of crucifixion and pour out His Love, Grace and Mercy to an undeserving sinner like me. Indeed,no words can adequately describe Jesus's love for us.


Here's English translation of the Chinese Lyrics:

Thanks to Bro Bernard, who introduced this song to us during our cell last Friday night. We are indeed so blessed to have Bro Bernard usher us into God's presence on every Friday night with the songs he selected for our cell.
This song just administered to me on Friday night..it reminded me to always keep my anchor on God, who is my rock, refuge and portion forever. Hallejulah !

The Amazing Love of God!

This song expresses the Amazing Love of our Lord & Saviour Jesus Christ...

Jesus .. my role model - Busy but never in a hurry

As I was eating breakfast this morning ..trying to squeeze as much chee kueh into my mouth and finished them in record's time so I can get to church on time for my usher duty. The previous sermon on how Jesus, who is busy but never in a hurry came into my mind. I started to ask myself these questions .. 'How can Jesus be busy yet never seems to be in a hurry' whereas I find myself constantly getting caught in a state of hurriedness, trying to get things done. Could it be Jesus has good time management skills and I didn't do well in this area. Oh yes, having 12 disciples with him does helps too :-)

As I was pondering on this and munching my chee kueh, the word of God came to me .. "Jesus knows what is His priority , what is important to Him and His Father" . Amidst his busy schedule, he knows that it is important to stay connect with His Father and this is His number 1 priority . He took time to pray to His Father whom he draw strength and wisdom he needed for the activities throughout the day.

Wow ! This is a simple concept and yet a powerful revelation to me.

Indeed,there is so much to learn from Jesus ..He is truly our role model ! Hallelujah !

Interacting Scripture with the level of your imagination

When I attended El-Shaddai concert in early Feb, it sound 'chim' to me on day 1 when Michael Card shared the message ' Interacting Scripture with the level of your imagination ' . I can't really grab the concept and connect the word " imagination" with "bible reading".....kinda profound to me .

I tried to apply this concept by pondering and asking questions on why this and that as I read Exodus as part of my BSF homework but it didn't carry me too far .. I still can't fully comprehend what this means to me in a personal level .

One fine afternoon, as I was getting my younger daughter, Jia Hui to read Exodus 2 to prepare herself for the next BSF lesson , she asked me this question ' Why isn't God pissed off when Mosses started giving excuses when God called Him to lead the Israelites out of Egypt " ? As we start discussing the 'whys', it gives me a whole new perspective of God himself and Moses's relationship with God. It's just amazing.. how this simple question leads me to a different dimension of understanding .

I'm encouraged by this new discovery and excited that I can finally grab what Michael Card meant by ' Interacting Scripture with the level of your imagination ' .

May I encourage all of us to explore using our imagination to read bible. I'm sure God will bring us to a deeper understanding of His word during our 50 days adventure and draw us closer to Him . We will be able to see what's behind the screen in this wonderful love story between God and His chosen people.
